Was looking at TV shows on iTunes on my iPad, saw that old sci-fi show Outer Limits on sale for $9.99, go to purchase it and it says I need to use Apple TV. So I go to Apple TV, price is now $19.99 for each of the two seasons.

Huh???

Anyone by chance know what is going on here?

UPDATE:

Got it to work, by downloading the Apple TV app to my iPad, then purchasing through iTunes on my iPad.

Thanks for the reply, on that link if you scroll down you can see individual seasons for sale on iTunes, so it looks like Apple TV just isn't offering the box set for whatever reason. :(

Hopefully they will, it's a good deal they are offering on iTunes.

Yeah the individual seasons are $19.99 but the complete boxset is showing as $9.99 on my ATV.

To clarify, it's not showing for me using the Apple TV app, on both Mac Catalina and Roku. Looks like the Apple TV devices use the same database as iTunes, while the Apple TV app uses something different.

Trillion dollar company here folks. Well, I guess they just dipped below that, but you get my point.

Hooray! Was able to get it at the sale price, by downloading the Apple TV app to my iPad, then purchasing it through iTunes on my iPad.

It appears that Apple is transitioning their video content to the TV app, and their music to the Music app, with older operating systems still using iTunes.
