I posted about this a year or so ago and I can not seem to resolve it.

The problem is when I open iTunes I get this message:

I have made sure that I allow incoming connections for iTunes in Security:

So I was wondering if it was something stored in one of the Library files in the main itunes folder that was causing this. And then thinking to do a clean install of osx and when I come to copy back my music from my backup external hdd, don't copy back the Library files?

Thank you

Darren

I can't really offer advice, but i can give you an anecdote!

I had the exact same problem a few months ago, as little as it was, it was a huge pain in the backside! I dealt with it for about 3 or 4 months, then it just disappeared. Never to be seen again. I'm not quite sure what i actually did to make it go away, but it did go.

Try deleting the iTunes app and re-downloading it from the apple website? - being careful to not delete your iTunes library in the process!

Hope this helps you in some way!

I will give that a go - click on the iTunes app in Applications and drag it to the recycle bin and then empty it? Then download iTunes from Apple.com/itunes...Yes?
