Itunes quits unexpectedly

I am new to this macbook. It seems to be in good shape and running fine but whenever I try to open itunes it quits. This is the message I am getting.Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Probably unrelated, but have you tried updating OS X?

I noticed you have upgraded to 10.6. There are major problems with 10.6 at least there is on the Macbook. It is all over the Apple forum crashing soon after opening. Most people are going back to previous version.

I am waiting to see if Apple will fix it quickly before making the decision to go back. It is totally unusable.

iTunes Crashes Unexpectedly

I was having the same problem. However I made an appointment with a Mac Genius at my local Apple store. He told me that it was some sort of bug that is related to and older iPhoto app that conflicted with iPad and iTunes. He suggested that I upgrade my older version of iPhoto (we did right then). After the newer version was loaded, he plugged in my iPad and launched iTunes. It fixed the problem.

I recommend you follow the above steps. If that doesn't work. Make an appt with a genius. Its free.

I agree, I had lots of problems with iTunes after I upgraded recently.

My Apple TVs will not see my computer and it does crash. Hopefully there will be an update soon to fix these bugs.

Problem solved!

I was having the same problem and it occurred after I updated my iTunes to version 10.6. The store worked ok, but as soon as I clicked my music library, iTunes crashed.

So I moved my music files from my MUSIC-folder to desktop. Then I erased the "iTunes"-folder and launched iTunes. Music library was empty and program worked ok. Then I just added my music back again and now it works!
