highly disappointed :\ i was looking to dump pandora for it... doesnt appear so at least yet. maybe theres an option to turn on explicit in the future. if anyone finds it now lemme know

Well... Apple is a "family friendly" company. Explicit lyrics haven't been commonplace with terrestrial radio in the past, and since Apple is advertising it as a "iTunes Radio"... you get where I am going with this...

they'll probably add a switch later on,remember the deals were supposedly only signed last week.

Is like regular radio hence the name iTunes radio

totally didnt even pop into my mind about "radio" part, thanks for pointing that out.

hopefully there is a switch, or maybe an option if you are a itunes match subscriber.

Seriously???? I was excited about this until I read that.

I want to listen to music the way the artist intended it to be heard.
If it plays just "clean" music, then I'll stick with the other services.

2pac, Biggie and Easy E just doesn't sound the same on the clean version...

I would actually like to have the option of this, but not have the clean ones be the only option.

I remember having a party with my wife's grandmother sitting next to the speakers with a Pandora mix playing. Mumford & Sons starting spouting the F word multiple times. Not the best situation. :)

It would be great for things like that. Keep the same mix but flip over to "clean" versions for a party.

ive added rick ross, dj khaled, trinidad james, macklemore just to name a few and its all clean, every single song.

ok its a total hit or miss, i added juicy j radio, bandz that make her dance was clean but next song was dirty

this is how the explicit songs look

It looks like explicit lyrics are hit or miss. Some songs are coming up with a "Parental Advisory Explicit Content" badge and others aren't.

iTunes Radio Explicit mode?

So far, I'm only getting clean versions of songs. Any way to get the unaltered explicit ones?

Other users have reported this as well. The justification has been that Apple is a "family company" and many have expresses their opinions. A lot of people will be sticking with Pandora if this remains (per MR member posts).

Same here, I can't find the option. I'm sure they will include it in a later beta. If not, I'll stick to Pandora.

you can get explicit on the user run itune radio stations just not the apple run stations

Not true; at least not always. Just created a "Nicki Minaj" station (was the first artist with a lot of explicit lyrics that came to my head) and it's also edited.

Ugh! They need a toggle for Explicit lyrics. It's annoying listing to bleeps and drop outs.
