iTunes Restoring Problem

I have notices that my iTunes 9.2 hangs when restoring my 3G and 3GS at about 99% the only way to temporarily fix it by reinstalling iTunes. then after a day or 2 it goes back to the same problem.

anyone knows how to fix this?
