I've got an iPod touch and trying to restore through iTunes to a firmware other than the one they've given me has yet to happen. I've tried a bunch of different ipsws and none seem to work. I just get an error, then it goes into recovery mode, then my iPod restores to the same firmware it previously had. It's kind of annoying because they've still yet to make a QuickPWN for 2.1.1 yet and even when trying to downgrade I just wind up wasting time by synching all the crap I have back on to the device. Anyone know what to do?
For the record, I'm running Windows XP, using iTunes 8 and I have a 2.1.1 2nd Gen iPod Touch
