ITUNES RINGTONE FOLDER location on macbook

In windows you would have to change the extension to m4r and put in ringtones folder , but on my new mac I cant find the ringtones folder , can someone tell me where it is.... im a rookie

Just drop it into iTunes and it will go to the correct place.

i changed the extension to .m4r and it shows as a ringtone in finder but it still comes into itunes as a mp3?

Control-Click and then select "show in finder"
