iTunes Search function abnormality

In the attached screenshot, you can see if I search for "believer," I can find a song called "I'm a believer" in my music. But if I search "I'm a," it doesn't show up. Why is this?

And while I'm here, is there a way to expand the length of the search bar results so that I can read tracks with longer names?
