iPod iTunes Server with Nano

Hey guys, I have a iPod Nano (7th Gen) on the way from Apple,

I am hosting a iTunes via my Qnap NAS, I am wondering can I sync to the iPod from the sever? Ideally I'd like to sync via my PC or my Mac.

Or would I have to map iTunes on the PC and the Mac to the SMB network location?

If u have all your music on the NAS and iTunes on your Mac I would think u can plug in and sync.
