I've been trying to both sign-in and authorize my account on a different PC. I can access the iTunes Store fine.

But when I go to sign-in or authorize the PC, I get a "fieldname: null. unknown error" message on the sign-in screen.

I tried signing in on my MacBook, through iTunes by clicking my account name, and I receive the same error there.

Anyone else having issues?

I've emailed iTunes Support.. we'll see how long it takes for them to get back to me. Sometimes they respond within minutes, sometimes they take a day or more. Apple REALLY needs phone support for iTunes.

But with 2 of my accounts. I even had $15 on one of the accounts.

But I sent them an email asking for episodes of South Park that I hadn't received for download.
I need to tell them now that it's been doing this on both accounts.
 
iTunes sign-in/authorization issues?

I'm having the same problem - can't sign into iTunes. I get the same message : Fieldname: null. Unknown error. I was thinking at first that it was related to the fact that I just plugged in my new iPhone for the first time. Now I think something's going on that's beyond our two iTunes accounts. Unless you too just got an iPhone....
 
ditto.....glad it isn't just me....and yesterday I added $30 to account. hopefully will be fixed soon....

Holy good god! it's a miracle! the very minute i wrote this I am now able to log on to my accounts! :eek:

Just worked for me a little while ago, not sure if it's completely fixed, though.
 
Kind of the same problem

okay, so i recently got a macbook pro. While i was setting it up, i switched my apple id name on my authorized pc so that it would match the e-mail i gave my macbook pro. But after i switched all my music to my new pro, i tried authorizing it and it said that my apple id didn't exist. so i tried my old id. that didnt work either. i tried iforgot for both of them, and for my new one apple didn't seem to suggest that it existed, and for my old one, it came up with 'Sorry! An unknown error occured'. I am wondering whether anyone else had/have this problem or if anyone has any advice on what to do about it.
