Since updating iTunes on my MBP to 11.1.1 it has become very slow, every thing else is fine I'm using OS 10.8.5 Any ideas please

Doesn't iTunes need to re-index the library or something? I would just leave it on overnight and reboot in the morning to see if it improves.

Itunes super slow after upgrading to Mavericks

Macbook Pro. 8 gigs of Ram. iTunes version 11.1.2. Beach ball for 3-5 minutes when trying to go from one view to another.. Super annoying

Same set up here and same problem.

No, iTunes does this after opening the first time after an update in the first minute or 2. Leaving it to run overnight will do absolutely nothing as far as indexing.

I updated to Mavericks and iTunes 11.1.2 and this has improved things. Wasn't brave enough for a clean install. Thanks for replies.
