I recently bought an 6 GB iPod mini, so I downloaded iTunes to sort all my music in its library and to upload them to the iPod. However, I noticed that 'Demon Days' by Gorillaz was out of order on my iPod, and when I went on iTunes to check, for some reason it was out of order there too. I tried to fix it in multiple ways, but in the end, when I click '[sort by] Artists', it goes back to being out of order.

I'm using iTunes v4.9.0.17, and here are some screenshots of my problem.

I had a problem like that with one album, and it turned out that the disc number field for some of the songs was set, and it wasn't set for others. Select all the songs in the album, get info on them, and click the check boxes by the disc number and hit okay. Hopefully that'll help.
