iTunes starts up randomly

iTunes will just start up while im doing other things, is there a way to find out what app is causing it to open. Usually I will have over 10 apps running and I can not duplicate it, nor do I know what I did prior to it opening.

Do you have any iTune widgets runnings? Might try disabling them if you do and see if that helps.

A second on the widget fix. The Apple iTunes widget can do that. If I remember, it think's there's something playing, after iTunes has closed.
