I'm trying to switch my iTunes account from my old MasterCard to my new Visa card. It is not a prepaid card, in fact my bank even supports Apple Pay which makes this even more weird. When I enter the first 12 digits, the Visa logo appears with no issue. But as soon as I enter the 13th, the Visa logo goes away. What is the issue here? I've never had a problem like this before.

Must be 4 lots of 4 (16) digits in my U.S account... Make sure its typed correctly, as any digits, or series of digits in the number will result in the card logo not highlighted (not correct)

Unfortunately, Apple doesn't flag the logo for expiry date either but they should... as technically the CVC and expiry is still part of the card. yet u gotta *wait* to for the error.
