My bad im just a little frustrated, im sure this isnt a prob for everyone im just looking for a solution, do you think the fact that the credit card under my account is old (and possible expired, i have to check) is causing this?

Highly unlikely. More likely, the gazillions of people trying to use the store all at once is the culprit.

This is getting frustrating. I am reading on some other forums that there is a folder that you have to move (downloads folder) to the desktop.

I am thinking this is limited to our machines rather than just a bunch of people accessing the store at one time.

Ok in detail this is what is happening: when i try to download the app on my iPhone, it says first it failed try again later, so i hit retry and it says i already downloaded it and i need to hit check for purchases in itunes. Well in iTunes under downloads it says 6 downloads available but when i go to download them it says "The iTunes Store is Unavailable, please try again later" and its been saying that all day! Help!

I had a same problem all day long and finally, I think I solved the problem.

    open itune first.
then log in to your itune account.
click "store" from top of screen
    then click authorize computer.

that's what I did. I could download applications.
    Hope it helps :D
