For the past hour, I have been unable to connect to iTunes store. Anyone else having problems this morning?

working for me also. I check every morning to see if there's anything worthwhile in the refurb store.

Thanks for the quick responses

Am still seeing a problem. An unknown error occurred (-50) There was an error in the iTunes store.

I upgraded to v9.03 recently.

I have now resolved the problem.

My solution was -

1) Close iTunes

2) Rename C:\Documents and Settings\Paul\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes

3) Rename C:\Documents and Settings\Paul\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes

4) Open iTunes

All is now working again

Thanks - worked for me too...(using win7) it rebuilds both directories after running through the complete set up again.

After closing Itunes I renamed

users/[your user name]/appData/local/apple computer/itunes... to /olditunes

and

users/[your user name]/appData/roaming/apple computer/itunes... to /olditunes

And then restarted Itunes - it rebuilt both directroies, after running through the set up and I have connected to the store, authorised, and purchased with no error 50 - well done!!!

iTunes Store error (-50)

I am having this issue as well. I am a bit confused about what you are saying about renaming a directory.

I am not the best at computers. Can you put this is lehmans terms?

I can get to the directory you mention, but am not sure what to do from there. Please advise. Thanks

Rename the two directories above to itunessave or something like that. Click on the directory, it'll highlight the name and then you can click to change it.

iTunes Store error (-50)

It worked, thanks.

I simply changed the name of the Itunes folder from "Itunes" to "Itunesnew" and when I restarted Itunes, it did go through the whole process mentioned by others.

I had talked with a a so called Apple expert, who had no ideas for me to solve the problem.

I'm experiencing the same issue now. Trying to login but it fails with error -9836 which quickly changes to error -50. Though I'm on MacOS so not sure what exactly should be renamed. Any help would be appreciated. OSX Mavericks 10.9.5, iTunes 11.4.

I also own another computer with High Sierra but it fails to update apps. iTunes 12.6. There's something wrong with iTunes store. Just a couple of days ago everything was working just fine.
