    Hey all,

I run XP on my iMac in my room, where I get and store all of my songs. I also run a G4 Sawtooth in my living room that I use as a media center for movies, tv shows, and music. I throw big parties, and am constantly getting whatever new songs come out. I usually copy the songs from my iMac to my G4 over my network, and then add the songs to my library and playlists manually.

However, I recently found a program called Syncopation, which automatically syncs the iTunes library with another mac on the network. This would be so convenient, if I could only find a version that could work across platforms.

Does anyone have any idea if a program like that exists?

    Thanks for taking a peak!

Is there a reason in particular you're not simply using iTunes' built-in music sharing ability to play songs from your iMac's library on the G4 in the living room?

That particular reason would be that I had no idea such feature even existed . I'll check it out, but if this is true, whats the point of the application that I mentioned in the OP?

Edit: OH I know what you mean. The only problem with doing that is that the G4 is on a router, and the iMac is not. I don't know how this will change the outcome of sharing my library. The iMac is on my school's netwrok, and the G4 is connected to a 24 port switch which is connected to a router which is connected to another port on the school's network. I know this is tricky, which is probably why I overlooked the iTunes built in sharing when I set this system up last year.
