I'm trying to be better organized with my music on iTunes and I am wondering if when my iPhone 4 arrives, can I just sync my playlists instead of my entire music list? There's a lot of stuff there that is my wife's and I'd rather not have it on my iPhone unless I really have to. I know, I should probably know the answer since I have been using iTunes for almost 5 years now. I have my music categorized in my playlists and just need them.

    Thanks!

Once you drag/sync the playlist over, it'll automatically copy over all the selected songs. I had this issue when syncing my 3G music to my IP4. I don't have playlists on mine but I had a very select group of songs that I listen. ONce the playlist was copied over, it automatically dragged over the correct songs once the sync started. Took awhile though but it all transferred over without any issues.

Just check the playlists you want under the music tab and you're good to go.
