Is it possible to transfer purchased iTunes songs over to a CD? For example: if somebody has a Mac computer and a CD player, but doesn't have an iPod.

Yes. Although do note you'd want to specify iTunes to burn the files as mp3 or not, if the cd player can't read mp3s.

marc11 and TMRaven, thank you both very much. :)

TMRaven, I'm not sure if the CD player can read mp3's or not. It's a fairly old Panasonic portable CD player, but it's lived most of its life sitting inside a drawer. Would you happen to know how many songs I can load onto a CD?

depending on the CD's you use about 70 or 80 minutes. Be sure you burn as audio CD if you need to play it on old equipment.
