Hi, I just got my new i5 2011 Macbook Pro :) and so far it's been great. As you could probably guess, all of my iTunes music was on my previous laptop, and it's very valuable to me. I have 13 GB of music, and another 18 GB in movies and apps. I transferred the movies and apps using a USB, and everything seems to be fine... But I used the "Home Sharing" feature to try to move my music. Yes, I did get my music, but my tens to hundreds of playlists are gone, and since I'm an upcoming DJ, that really doesn't help. But most importantly all the play counts have disappeared.

Without spending days upon days, with songs on repeat listening to them hundreds of time, and creating playlists for hours every day, is there an easier way to transfer my music in full to my new MBP? Is iRip the only option?

South Mississippi y'all, near the water!
Here's a link that may help you.

It's frustrating not being able to move playlists to a new computer.
