...but where you can choose the names for the categories for meta data?

Does a program like this exist where a sound library has editable meta data but the category names themselves are editable too?

Many thanks

As in, you want to rename it from say... Artists to "People that Sing the Song"?

You mean like make your own genres like "Upswing Jazz", or "Early Rockabilly"? That sort of thing?

You can do that in iTunes.

I have music that's still being written that I want to make a library out of to help me sift through ideas I thought it might be handy to have meta data for "key signature" and suchlike. Sold music has different kinds of relevant information to music that's still being composed. Not sure if many folks are using itunes to organise musical ideas that are still being composed but I'm sure it could catch on for organized creative types.....:^)

Any mac developers want to write a program to do this along with a few other handy functions for pre-pre-production???
