iTunes Unofficial Artwork - Movies and TV Shows

HBO Mini Series Special: Band Of Brothers Artwork Would Be Nice Unless I Have Missed It.

BTW It's Coming To Blu-Ray This Year.

Dude, I never wanted anyone to blow anyone off. I asked BOTH of you to work together and I asked BOTH of you to host the photoshopped files that were non-iTunes. Gary001 specifically said he would not host non-iTunes "style" files once the iTunes version came out. You said you didn't want anything "Non-iTunes". And quite snippily did both of you respond.

I never wanted to open a thread and I never wanted/desired to step on toes.

Now, as I'm sure you're aware, there is a guy that wants to create a webpage dedicated to this. He's, to my knowledge, asked all three of us. I thought we were still "trying" to work together.

Why is it that both you and Gary001 seem to think that "poster artwork hosting" is a zero sum game and we're in competition?! Let me tell you, it's NOT a competition. We're both trying to achieve the same goal and that goal would be FAR more attainable if we all worked together.

What I wanted to do was link to your page that hosted your stuff when there was an itunes version and vice versa when I had non-iTunes posters - you said 'no' and told me to take your links off.

Gary001 had said he didn't want to run a thread and if someone wanted to take over, then fine. Just take the art from his page. As soon as I did, he threw a tantrum.

This is the last post I am going to have in the open forum about this. It's foolish, childish and quite beneath me. You want to work together than reply. If you want to continue some sort of petty squabble about egos and competition ... then you are going to squabble on your own.

I have 125+ of my dvds in iTunes now and growing. Still quite a bit to do. 38 of the ones in there plus most of the ones left to do don't have hq artwork. But almost 100 do. So once again thanks to gtyper, aep and others contributing to this thread as well as to energiie and gary001, all of whom I wouldn't have the great quality art without. I have pitched in a few but don't have access to much and can only PS at work which is tough for me to do right now. So thanks.

It is really appreciated. Keep up the great work everyone.

See, the fact is im not mad at you or anyone. The only reason i asked you to take the links off is well basically then everyone would get the photohsopped and official artwork from your thread, so then it was kinda pointless for my page so then you changed it and i was happy.
and i was just mad cause like i took time to make that layout, and whatever i know but if you made something and i stole it you wouldnt be happy.
but whatever, this is behind us because of the 'big' thing, so basically all these threads can be deleted and everything can be added together onto the big page.
Which everyone will hear about when it's all ready.

alright soooo........u misunderstood what i said. heres what happened from my point of view. when i removed some of the art from my thread (because the official stuff was added to "energiie's") u PMed me saying i should keep that art up cuz someone might like it better than the official art. then when u submitted all ur art (a lot of duplicates and stuff that didnt look like the ones from itunes) i realized that some of u may not have understood what i was looking for in terms of art. so i posted that 1. if anyone wanted to make a thread for the art that i took off mine when the itunes art became available, i could send u those links and 2. u could have it be for different versions of the art. i never meant for u to take all the art from my thread and make a new one. as far as us being childish about it all...well......its hard to make a point, and have that point come across clearly, thru text. and when its clear someone didnt get the point its hard to tell if its because they r just being difficult or because they really didnt get the point. and so we get frustrated and turn into little kids throwing fits. if we were able to talk, over the phone or in person, im sure none of this mess would have happened in the first place.

Whats the point of adding stuff and then advertising on here, when (it looks like) all the stuff in Other Artwork/Archive was taken from this thread anyway!

Because its easier to find and I want to create a database of movies on one website. Right now, finding the right artwork, movies description, ratings, actors, etc., require several visits to multiple website. I want to eliminate that.

If you read my blogs you'll see where the site is heading.

This is in its infancy, I want to try to encourage interaction. I know its hard with such a limited database, but that will change soon.

It looks clean and nice, but there really isn't any organization or real direction yet. It seems all over the page in terms of organization.

Not knocking it, because it's nice looking. It just seems right now to have no real direction and it's all over the page.

Trim off the fat. Make it streamlined.

For instance, there is no need to separate "custom" from movie posters. Just lump them all together. If you're looking for "Titanic" you'll choose the best poster. Then you can tag the movie entry.

You know, you're right. I was wishing there was something to clean it up a little. Thanks for the input. I'll make those changes.
