iTunes update - double click on title bar hides iTunes - disabled?

Until now you could double-click the iTunes top bar (the gray zone) to hide it.

This no longer works.

Is this a bug or an annoying downgrade?

Now you have to use the keyboard to hide iTunes.

Update:

I noticed that the double-click hide still works, but the area you can double-click in is much smaller, just the narrow bar above where the info about the currently playing tune is displayed.

Used to be that you could double-click to the left of the display area as well, which is a much larger area.
