iTunes using over 300% of my CPU on my new Pro

Is it compressing your music into 128kbps AAC files?

There is an option when you sync on the first page, is it checked? Does it indicate what it is doing? I can't say I've noticed my iTunes maxing out 3 cores during syncing.
