    Please, no Windows haters here

I am having trouble playing videos from itunes on my Vista machine. Every time I open a movie, my computer freezes up entirely. I ahve downloaded all the latest drivers for my video card, and followed Apple's advice, but no dice. I have a SATA HD. Not sure if that is an issue.

Does anyone know of any solution to this problem> Or when Apple is planning to release a 100% Vista compatible verison of iTunes?

Its probably just an iTunes problem.

I have Vista and every time I try to play any video in iTunes, its choppy and it eats up CPU time to ridiculous amounts.

Yet if I play it in Quicktime, all is fine.

Apple's software for Windows really just kind of sucks. They need to learn how to write software to take advantage of DXVA. If they did that, then our modern GPUs could handle all of the video work.

But I really don't know how to help you other than saying just use different software.

Purchased iTunes videos play just fine in Quicktime.
