iTunes visually not displaying album artwork

Anyone know why albums artwork visually do not display in iTunes ?

All artwork is part of the files, so doing "Get info" updates them in view... but only updates once u select and "Get info" on them..

this only affects some content, not others, and can be anything: TV shows, music, movies

I tried moving .xml to speed displaying up, but perhaps could this be because the content is hosted over network ? Mac Mini where and NAS where content actually is there not on Wi fi,,,, there cabled...

Have tries closing down itunes, reopening... recreating xml file, and/or readding all content back.. and doesn't work..

iTunes has been wonky with artwork for as long as I can remember. I have had to figure out all sorts of workarounds for different artwork problems over the years. You said 'Get info' causes a successful update, why don't you do that just to get it going?
