Is there a way to change to change the iTunes background for black or gray like the Songbird for example?

The white background doesn´t look good to me and it´s too bright for my eyes!

You can set the background to dark using Grid View option but it won't change background of the store. Something like this:

Yes I know, but I don´t like the grid view. I use the list view.

You can go to system preferences->univeral access->seeing->display->white on black. But that affects all programs.

    Ha!

But seriously Apple should give iTunes an ability to accept theme. If they don't want anyone to mess with their aesthetic then provide a few ones themselves. This app is used by hundred millions of people and we don't always have the same taste.

Actually I have the brightness all the way down on my iMac.

Yes they should. What pisses me off about Apple is that they never give any choises, even one.
