iTunes - Windows migration

I'm getting my first mac delivered (today hopefully) and wondered how to copy across my iTunes folder. I've backed up my whole iTunes Music Folder to an external drive, where do I copy it to, or is there a specific way to import it so I don't lose any of my settings, cover art etc..?
