iTunes won't sync?

Updated iTunes tonight. No problems. Hook up iPhone to sync it, suddenly it won't sync. Sits there, says "Syncing iphone" but nothing happens to show any changes and it does not disconnect. No messages about syncing with ical or anything.

ARGH. I tried resetting the iphone and rebooted my computer, and it still just hangs on the sync. It cancels/disconnects with no hiccups. Anyone else have this issue?

Ok, the iphone disconnects but itunes freaks. Also, i deleted a bunch of stuff from itunes today but none of it was related to the iphone...

How did you get it to work? Mine is having problems syncing too. Maybe I'll repair permissions (i'm using OS X) and restart the computer and iPhone and try again.

EDIT: Seems to be working now after repair permissions, and restarting my mac and iPhone.

same with mine. I did not repair permissions but i did reboot both the phone and itunes. Did yours hang forever then suddenly work?
