First look in preferences in iTunes, on the "Syncing" tab, check the box that says "disable automatic syncing of iPods and iPhones"

Next, with your iPod connected, check the box that says "Manually manage music".

Now you will have to drag and drop music/videos for it to go on your iPod

I have a 3G iPhone and 3 Macs. Is there any way of allowing me to drop music off iTunes from the 3 machines onto the phone like you can on an iPod???

I've tried everything and I can't seem to get it to work, which sucks!

Alternatively, you can click "Only sync checked music and movies on this iPod/iPhone", and uncheck the movies you don't want.

You have to use Manual Sync if you want that. This way you don't even have to save it to your computer!
