I tried calling in a few minutes ago as well and was told that I'd have to cancel my existing IUP reservation before trying to make a new one. I don't think that's true, but she said that she couldn't switch my original reservation :<

Same, and I wasn't willing to do that, so no change in my situation. Basically, if you didn't make a reservation at all, you lucked out today, but if you have one, you're sort of screwed. But, I checked as if I didn't have a reservation, and although more phones were available than there were at the opening of preorder, there were still no Pluses available, so... <shrug>

No. They screwed the existing iPhone upgrade program at the opening of pre-order by allocating almost zero phones to us to choose from, so they're trying to make the situation right now.

I'm in the same boat. Got lucky enough to reserve a IP7+ Silver 128GB but would prefer a black one. It still let's me check availability in stores though but haven't seen any black ones. (Seattle)

The way it worked earlier is you had to cancel you initial reservation too see full stock, but I don't recommend that anymore. Look at thread on main page, tons of people got hooked up.

Why not just wait a week? to spend at minimum a year with a color you didn't want?

I don't want to make another IUP payment and get behind in the upgrade cycle for next years upgrade.

I'm in the exact same place and there's no way I'm canceling my reservation to roll the dice. They really messed this thing up from the beginning and now I really feel more excluded. My only hope is that they have a black one there when I go Friday morning.

You should've cancelled your reservation, as soon as I did, I went back in and they had the exact phone I wanted at my local store
