IUP/ paying for AppleCare+ worth it if upgrading every year?

Hey guys,

I'm finally looking to move away from my iPhone 6, and looking at getting my next phone with the IUP. I've searched and couldn't find an answer for this, so please let me know what you think.
Does paying extra for the AppleCare+ make sense on the IUP if you are planning on getting a new phone every 12months? You're still covered under the AC+ with each new phone for the first year anyways, right? If that's the case, does getting AC+ not seem worthwhile?

New phones come with AppleCare, which is not AppleCare+. AppleCare simply covers manufacture defects, AC+ is for accidental damage.

Phones on the IUP have AC+. If you plan on getting a new phone every year the IUP makes the most sense. The resale value of phones after one year is nothing like it was 3 years ago.

If you are doing the IUP you do not have the choice to opt out of AC+

Also don't forget to look at your carrier options. Some also have annual or more frequent then that programs which if you jump around a lot or like new tech may be worth looking into.
