I subscribe to Apple's iUP and successfully received my upgraded (from iPhone X) iPhone XS Max last Friday.

No sign of the trade-in box, no emails of it being shipped or will be shipped....

Anybody from the last Friday club get theirs yet?

Thanks.

Yes. I received my trade in box on Wednesday by FedEx , dropped it at off at a FedEx location Thursday morning and got a notice yesterday that it was received, accepted and loan closed.

Check your Apple Store app. There should be an indication notice at the top of the screen that your return kit should be mailed on a specific date. If the Apple Store app is not showing this then you should give Apple a call to verify. The kit is usually mailed out to you within 5 to 10 days from receipt of your iPhone.

Got the box for our phones about 4 days after we received the new phones. Took about 2 days for apple to get the phones and complete the trade in.

I got nothing in the Apple Store app about the box being shipped or going to be shipped. I did open a case with Apple. Thanks for the replies everybody. :)

My iUP phone was received by Apple on 9/28. The app says they received it, but they still haven't fully processed it and closed my loan. Had a chat with a representative today because I'm worried about the loan being reactivated and having to pay for a phone I no longer have. She had to escalate my case to the iUP team and I won't hear anything until tomorrow supposedly.

I had to return 2 phones as my Mom is also on the iUP plan. Her return was processed and the loan closed on the same day. There was even a small crack in the upper right corner and they didn't charge us for that.

I was charged a payment on Monday of this week for a iPhone X I no longer have (so I have now made 13 payments on a iPhone X I had for 11 months). Apple received my X on Tuesday (yesterday) and accepted the return on the same day. I was under the impression that my account would be placed on hold for the two week period I was given to return the X, but apparently that was not the case.

I fully expect to be credited back for the 13th payment by either Apple or Citizen One, but if I do not see a credit when the previous account is closed I will be calling one or both of them. I think a lot of people who received launch day X's on the IUP that did not send in their X immediately upon receiving the return box will be in the same boat (i waited until last Saturday to ship it back). I recommend checking your CC charges to make sure you were not charged for an additional payment for your old phone. I know of at least 2 other people on this forum who were overcharged like this (as stated in another IUP thread).

Both of mine were received by apple and closed the same day, one on Monday and one on Tuesday. Was never charged the 13th payment and both loans closed pretty much immediately.

Yep, I was in the same boat of being charged for an extra payment yesterday as well. They received both phones yesterday, and I received the email from Apple that they received them and the loans are now closed. Hoping for a refund of the extra payment.

The mailman hid mine in between my front storm door and the front inside door, both of which I rarely need to open. Maybe it was raining that day, I dunno. But I'm sure it had been sitting there for days and it would be still there if I hadn't ordered a pizza over the weekend.

You can have my box, they shipped me one even though my loan has been closed for 8 months now.

There’s a code tying the box to the phone.

My X was shipped back, received and loan closed, but my new phone doesn’t show up in IUP (not enrolled).

FYI...My IUP Citizens One Loan for the returned phone shows a credit balance now in the amount to the 13th payment. Not sure if they will refund my CC or apply credit to my next XS Max payment, but least they've acknowledged the extra payment.

Ok, OP here. What a CF this was and most likely my fault unwittingly since I upgraded last year without any issues.

I, for some unknown reason :), started a whole new loan with another iPhone instead of upgrading my present iPhone X like I desired.

Without the superb help of Apple Customer Relations I could not have untangled the mess. This involved call to Sales, First Citizens, etc., several for each. And that I had to return and wipe out the "new" loan within 14 days of receipt. Just made it under the wire.

Also good is that this year I was able to go to an Apple store and complete (started online) the purchase/return and make sure it was all take care of. Good because there were no stocking issues and they had a space grey iPhone XS Max 512 ready for sale.

I returned the "new" iPhone an am now waiting for the loan to be wiped out and my payment, tax, etc. to be refunded.

Next year I will doubly make sure I am upgrading and NOT starting a new loan. It was 12:01AM so I was not at my best.

Every upgrade on IUP is a new loan.

Yeah that isn't going to happen! They don't just exchange and old iPhone for a new iPhone through the same loan. They close out the old loan and start a new loan. They even do a new credit check (which is why many don't like the IUP).
