I’ve always bought my phones outright but last year I went with IUP. Could someone explain the step by step process of upgrading in the UK? I know it can’t be done online entirely.

Also, what time was the pre order open here in the UK?

Place your order online or via the app for in-store reservation. Bring your ID to the store and rejoin the IUP.

If you check your upgrade status on the Apple Store app now it has a message saying to check back from 8:01am tomorrow to reserve your upgrade.

Yeah I checked that. I’m aware of the whole process not completing online. Just wanted to ensure I understood the entire process.

Yes reserve the iPhone for in-store collection.

Thanks. All ready.

I’m a bit confused still about the IUP.

I got an X last year and have about £700 left on the balance. When I collect my XS Max next week, are they going to add another 1200 onto the balance?

You need to trade in your old iPhone X and then they’ll drop all the existing payments and start a new one against iPhone Xs.
