iUSB app won't recognise USB cable

I have a lightning USB drive cable in one. The app used is iUSB, worked fine on my 7+ on iOS 11. Just tried on my X and its not recognising the cable, restarted iPhone, uninstalled/installed app, plugged in/out but won't work.

Anyone else have similar could try, or know an app that will work with these USB lightning cables that have a microSD in please

I have a similar cable like that with the brand iDragon. I am using it with my iPhone 8 Plus, it works fine with iUSB Pro app.

Ok thanks. I plug it in and in the app just says iUSB is not connected for me.

You have to be aware of this cable it not hot-swappable, meaning if you unplug and plug this cable while iUSB app is running (in foreground or in background), the app won't recognize the cable. You have to manually shut down this app and then run it again, so it will recognize the cable when it is plugged in.

Ok I'll try that so plug in cable first then open app? So you have to force quit the app everytime unplug?

I've tried a reinstall and didn't work either.

I've now just tried on my iPad air 2 and worked fine, plug into iMac and can see SD, so its something on the iPhone X for some reason.

Sent mine back was no good. Not sure if was device, or more likely something on iOS as works on iPad.

Now looking at leef ibridge, lexar C25i, or SanDisk ixpand.

I have an iPhone xs max and I experience the same problem. It's working fine on my older iphone 7 plus and on my ipad too. Did you find any solution?
