Indeed, and the BBC got taken to task for it. It was deemed that, by displaying Apple products so prominently, they were contravening their non-product placement policy. A few wrists got slapped, if memory serves.
I know what you're saying, I've seen a few TV programs and adverts where it's obvious they're using an iMac or MacBook, but the Apple logo has been covered up. Who knows why.
B/C in our wierd an whacky world, having the logo visible can be construed as
an endorsement.
So if some bonehead tries some movie magic, that is in reality impossible, on the machine in question, then the show, product manufacturer, etc is then subject to lawsuit.
Or unpaid advertising, or infringement/illegal (no permission granted) to use/display the product logo...
