I've dropped my iPhone 5 a couple of times now the top of the front panel is elevated

I can push it down and it rises back up. Is the phone totaled?

Mine does the same thing. The glass rises independently from the plastic. It's been dropped once. Functionality remains so I try not to let it bother me.
