I’ve read about the heat problems with 16” Intel MBP but is it as bad as it seems?

It sounds like consensus is 5600M is better then the rest for heat. I don't plan on connecting to an external display, but it will be used primarily in bootcamp. It sounds like bootcamp is going to be a problem with heat off the bat. Does this apply to the 5600M equally so?

If you're using Bootcamp vs. a VM, then why just not get a cheap Windows laptop and avoid these issues all together? You could get a nicely specced Lenovo for 16" MBP money.

Depending on what you are doing, its a very pricey auxiliary heating appliance. Kinda nice in December and January though. Noisy too.
