My watch has decided to randomly wake up during the night while charging in nightstand mode. Watch [and iphone] is in 'do not disturb' mode; watch on Belkin charger; watch fully charged; all of a sudden it will make a little bong and turn on - then after a few seconds it will turn off. Then repeat until I take it off the charger. Usually happens around midnight to 2am. Not every night - just random as far as I can tell. Maybe it's letting me know that it is updating apps?? or is just feeling needy??

Anybody have similar experience or any idea what might be going on?

This may have already been discussed, but I couldn't find it

Thanks

It happens to me too. I had it charging on a stand. I have since taken it off the stand and instead charge it laying down, and it doesn't happen anymore. I have an older watch on the stand now, and it doesn't happen to that watch.

I have mine on a third party stand. Last week it woke me up by lighting up, over and over. I hadn't experienced this before. I may just go back to the Apple charger. It is too bad as the third party stand also charges my iPhone.

The stand that I'm using uses an apple charger cable, so I can't use that as an excuse. For some reason, only the AW4 wakes up like this. It's like it loses its charging connection and gets it again (causing it to light up.)

Apple did slightly change the shape of the back of the watch with the version 4. I’ll bet that is what’s happening
