Nice work digging up a post on an article that predates Apple's first keynote of the first time Apple Watch unveiling lol.

Yes, it was old, but it also was a prediction that was true.

What makes this digging interesting is how badly people react to rumors like these, all knee jerk reactions without understanding the issue (like the world of ridiculously expensive watches), even when it comes from a solid source. The track record for Ming Chi Kuo's predictions is stunning and still most comments here are extremely dismissive.

Also, it is a lot of fun in hindsight :D

Yea I must admit I had a chuckle when I reread my post. I agree it's amusing to go back and see people's knee jerk reactions, like for example on the first iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad. I was running off the logic of those past product announcements and successes when judging the Apple Watch and I really didn't put much consideration in how serious they might be in attempting to enter the fashion industry.

But now that we know they are serious about it, and also with growing rumors on a car, it's clear that Apple's future is just that much more ambitious, with a more broader outlook than how we've grown to know the company over the past few decades. I'll just have to keep in mind how gargantuan Apple is now and that pretty much anything is possible with the company.
