This is really starting to annoy me!

Fonts in iWeb are appearing bold when I've published and uploaded the site (looking at it using Safari). It's annoying because I'm using the contrast between bold and non-bold text on my site and all the text looks bold!

If anybody could point me in the right direction I'd be massively greatful :)

I had a few problems with fonts when I upgraded to iWeb '08. They still exist but I've managed to work around them. It seemed they were bold or became fury/anti aliased - or changed to a default font when I published the site. The only way I could remedy this was by making all my type hyperlinks (even if I didn't want them to act as buttons). Then I would just link them to look at the page they were already on (effectively then not doing anything). This seemed to make them retain their look from iWeb. It might be that you're issue is slightly different (but if not, hope this helps)

Solution for this issue

This is really starting to annoy me!

This issue started to happen to me a few days ago when I was updating my website. I googled all day long looking for how to address the issue. Unfortunately, none of them worked. So I decided to find my solution. It looked so random at first time but scrutinizing it revealed a consistent reason.

So when does it happen?
It only happens when I select the whole line and bold it. It appears that iWeb thinks you are trying to bold the whole paragraph.

So what's the solution?
  1. Make a space right after the word(s) you want to bold.
  2. Select the word(s) carefully. Do NOT select the space you entered.
  3. Bold it.

Hope it helps.
