Got a slight problem; when i open iWeb, it freezes. I cannot do anything to unfreeze it. How can i stop this? Reboot iWeb? How can i do this without loosing all the work I've done on my site as it is?

Thank you for all your help!

Generally when an app freezes there's not much you can do about it. Some small things you can try is pressing cmd (key with apple on it) + , (comma) or cmd+. (period), Though, that rarely works anymore. Waiting is about all you can do to see if it fixes itself, otherwise just hope it did some auto-saving when you reopen it later.

If i have my site saved on iDisk...would that act as a backup?

    • Be sure to have the latest version of iWeb updating your software with Software Updater in the menu bar click on the Apple logo and choose “Software Update...”

    • Try deleting the preferences file:

    1. Quit iWeb
    2. Delete the following file:
    3. Relaunch iWeb
If that doesn’t work... Retry it but instead of relaunching iWeb in 3. restart the computer and relaunch iWeb

    • Try repairing disk permissions:

    1. Go to Applications/Utilities
    2. Open Disk Utility
    3. Click Macintosh HD
    4. Click on Verify Disk Permissions
    5. Click Repair Disk Permissions.

Having the site published to your iDisk does not act as a backup since iWeb doesn't have any html import capability. To make backups have a look at the following page:
