I am currently getting some more publishing errors, they seem to appear randomly on some image that I put into the website. Mind you, they are jpgs, so... I dont know what is wrong.

The file that is referenced as the cause of the publishing error is always one of my jpegs, but as I said... random...

What can I do?

Delete them from the site and start again? Everything iWeb is stored in ~/Library/Application Supprt/iWeb/ then right click on the Domain thing and choose Show Package contents and let it open in Finder, finally delete the troublesome files.

Although I must say the final website is really not snappy, it can take quite an (uncomfortable) before the pictures are displayed, on a picture page or within a diaporama. I compared with other servers with websites containing pictures. Maybe because i'm in Europe, and the .Mac servers are in the US?

That's because the images from iWeb in general aren't web optimised so are rather large.

This may help others:

I had the same problems that all of you and tried all of the suggested tips without any luck even with iWeb version 1.1.2.

I was trying to drag 10 megapixel images stored on Aperture and apparently something weired is happening during the export-import process. What solved my problem is first exporting the images into a folder located in my hard drive and while doing that reducing the size to 1024 x 1024 pixels. Once having the images on that folder I dragged them into my iWeb page. No problems uploading the images afterwards.

Hope this helps.

Well this is doing my head in...iphoto publishes slideshows really easily
However, iweb wont have a bar of it.

Which is frustrating to say the least.

Anyone come up with a good explanation yet?

Few miniutes later...I think it might be something to do with filesize...for deffo.

Cos comiclife exported to iweb seems to work. ???

yea, ive been all over this forum and Apple's. Ive also been having this problem with no solution.

I get all kinds of errors from "Cannot connect to .Mac"
"Cant connect to the web"
'Cannot find "web/site"

I have 10.5 and iLife 08.

This is just getting ridiculous. Some of us depend on our .Mac/iWeb :(
