Hi, I'm trying to publish a iweb website to a outside server. Downloaded Cyberduck. My files are on my desktop. I have them into Cyberduck. When i try (cyberduck)to connect so that I can go live on the web I get a connection error that reads DNS error and Connection Failed, Listing Directory Failed. Where do i troubleshoot from here.
Thxs in advance

If internet is working in general, DNS error probably indicates that you typed your server name in wrong. The other errors are a result of not being able to find the server.

Internet is working ..Could it be anything else besides the server, settings, preferences, anything? This this is so frustrating. This website was dropped in my lap and i was ask to take care of it. Im working blindly on this. I have no knowledge of how this works to trouble-shoot. Thank you in advance.

Skidog, like rowsdower wrote, you most likely typed in the URL incorrectly, or tried connecting to the web server itself instead of the FTP server that manages the files served up by the web server.

To my understanding, you just need to take the files on your desktop and make them accessible on the web?

Should be fairly simple to do... shoot me a PM or email me and let's see if we can take care of this. If you need to see my credentials, just check out the link in my signature.
