I have had a website for the last three or four years. I usually update it with family information on a weekly basis. I created the website through Dreamweaver on my old 12" PB. I have since sold that computer and purchased a new MBP. I want to still be able to update my current website without changing its layout, and at this point I am still reluctant to purchase a new copy of Dreamweaver because of the compatibility issues with the new intel processors.

So am I able to connect iWeb to my website and make changes even though I created it using dreamweaver?

No. iWeb uses a propietary internal format to store your site an creates the HTML on demand. It cannot import a site for editing unless it has a massive chunk of functionality I've not seen.
