Hey everyone i got a really important question. I am currently helping someone create a website for the club she does at school. So we want to know if we can both edit the website on 2 macs. so that if one person does a change and publishes it, that change will be downloaded to the others person's computer. so that we know what each person has done. We are using iweb and we both have macs, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

No it's not possible. iWeb is a one-way application and the only way is out, it can't import any html files (the published files).

If you're publishing to MobileMe you could put the Domain file (where iWeb stores its data) on the iDisk and use it from there to edit the site. However the iDisk is really slow so it will slow down everything in iWeb too (like saving, publishing, whatever).

If that's not working for you you may want to think about using Wordpress (or another Blog) to build your website so you can edit it online.

Best option would be to copy the Domain file (located in Macintosh HD/Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/iWeb) to a shared flash drive, and double-click the Domain file to open it up in iWeb. As long as the changes are made and saved to the same file, you'll both be able to see what the other person has done. For a smaller site with little, if any, video you could probably also email the Domain file back and forth.
