iWeb08 dies on iWeb06 site

iWeb chokes on my mac mini or my 24" iMac. I have been to the apple forum on this subject and no one seems to have a solution... any one have any ideas. Yes, I did backup my site... iWeb opens then just closes...

i just kept trying and trying and eventually it worked. nearly went crazy with it.
