    Hey guys,

Can I attach a file that I made in pages or keynotes into an e-mail??? Whenver I try, it tells me that an error has occured. BTW, the e-mail that I am using is hotmail. if that affects anything.

No, because the "files" are actually folders with many more files within. Your Mac is just tricked into not knowing the difference.

Some possible ways to send the document would be to: 1) Export it as PDF, DOC, PTT, etc); OR 2) Zip the file (right click, "Create archive of...") and then send the zipped file.

If you are sending a Keynote, Pages or Numbers file to another Mac user that uses iWork 08 then without any modification you will need to send it to them via Apple's mail.app client. Apple's mail should work with Hotmail but I'm not sure.

If you are sending any of the above to either a Mac user or Windows user that is using MS Office then you will need to export the iWork file to the format that they can read it from.
For example, a Pages file should be exported to Word, Keynote to PowerPoint.
If you don't export the files they cannot read it.

Visa verse if you are on the receiving end.

To export the file in Pages hit "File-Export" and you will get a choice of PDF, Word, RTF or Plain Text. Save it to the desktop and send it via email.
