Okay, so I've got my iPhone out of the box.

I haven't seen anywhere how to download the iWork apps to my device? I did a restore from a backup of my old iPhone 5 and signed in with an existing apple ID?

Does everything need to be new for that to happen?

Anyone else get this to work?

Have you gone to the app store on your phone? Search for the app. It should be free.

Free iWork?

When I first got the phone I downloaded pages....I didn't have time to DL numbers and keynote so I went back it and they are both listed at $9.99 how do I get them free with my 5S purchase?

Apps missing on new iPhone 5S

So I went out and bought the new iPhone 5S in Space Grey, got home, restored from a backup and now I can't find those new included apps that were supposed to be with the phone. Like Garageband and iPhoto. How can I get them?

You download them from the App Store. They are not preinstalled.

Go to the appstore and download them. I just picked up a space grey today as well

How about the iWork or whatever cloud service being free if you purchased a new device, how do you get those?

Went to the appstore, no usual pop up comes up to download the apps like iBooks. When I search for Pages or any of the other apps, they cost money.

close completely the app from the phone and reopen

Apple should credit those of us who already own those apps their value we paid for them on our iTunes accounts!!!

I had to read through a few other threads to find this out too. You would think it would have been more intuitive to get these apps to download free. I kept seeing the $9.99 price. But, as mentioned above, you must close out of the App Store completely, then open and log in again and, like magic, your iWork apps now say FREE.

Why? They are only giving this software to the people who payed money for a new device, so you could say that buying the new device payed for the software.
