That's not the point of the thread. ;)

The OP merely wants to know how many of us use iWork or Office.

I use Office most of the time, but iWork has its purpose for certain things. I couldn't really vote in the poll because the choices were too specific.

My brother was able to get me iWork '08 discounted from his college, and I was able to upgrade Office 2004 to 2008 using the SSD, so I have both installed on my computer. The two programs I use are Word/Pages and Powerpoint/Keynote. I use Word for essay writing and Pages if I'm creating some sort of handout or have a creative assignment. For presentations I have found myself using Keynote despite the fact that my school uses PCs and Office 2003. Keynote can export to a ppt file really well, keeping the nice look of the presentation. The only changes that usually occur are to the font. The one presentation I have made using Office 2004, the pictures did not carry over so I had to re-find them and insert them at school!

I know, but I thought the poll options were pretty useless if this was the point, and I believe we know this will become the "iWork vs. Office" thread of the day.

I can't argue with that. ;):)
I agree with CalBoy, way too specific .. :(

Perhaps the poll tried to accomplish too much, and in turn, shot itself in the foot.

In any case, we can post about our uses if the poll doesn't satisfy us.

I use iWork because it's all I need...compatibility with Office formats is not an issue for me. And really, I only ever have to use Numbers...I think I've opened Pages maybe twice.

I would say if you need more in-depth features, go with Office.

You're probably going to be the happiest with iWork updates then, Numbers doesn't quite meet Pages or Keynote just yet, and Apple aren't a company that leaves un-awesome software un-awesome.
